NXP has released a new green technology invention that connects bulbs over wifi, allowing fine-tuned control from any internet-connected device.which is called GreenChip that makes the Internet-enabled, energy-efficient lighting network a reality for consumers in the home as well as for commercial applications. Its two products, GreenChip iSSL and GreenChip iCFL bring together wireless IP connectivity, energy-efficient lighting and low power standby (down to 50 mW) in a compact, low-cost solution that enables new ways to control lights and manage energy consumption.

 

This is another option that we could take into account when we want to save our house or company energy consumption other than using power saving bulb only.

Water Recyling

Many have heard about recycling paper, plastics and metals. Recycling is not difficult and something that is easily incorporated into everyday life. The meaning of recycling water is taking the dirty used water and reprocess it to be clean. It does not mean solely for drinking, recycled water could be used in many ways such as water for wetlands, water for crops and water for industrial use. The used water need to undergo extensive cleaning process by chemical and physical treatment method. The last process has to be killing the bacterias in order to make sure the water is bacteria free. The ideas is to remove all the dirt inside the water by coagulation and flocculation methods. Then, the water is filtered and lastly bacterias will be killed by adding chlorine or by using UV light.

The main benefit of water recycling is preserving natural water supplies. By water recycling, our ecosystems will be safe and inbalance which will span its life much longer for the younger and future generations. So, start water recycling now.
